Ulterior are a genre dodging 4 piece from London. Originally formed in it’s current guise in 2006 as a 3 piece set up of brothers Paul (vocals) and Benn (machines and programing) and guitarist, Simmons. A 4th member, Karl, was introduced on synths in the summer of 2007.
Currently working on their debut album, the band's blend of raw electronic sounds, attacking drum machines and shoegazing guitars draws comparisons to a large mixture of artists including The Jesus and Mary Chain, Suicide, Spacemen 3, Underworld and My Bloody Valentine. Their aggressive live shows have attracted growing acclaim so far, and with large bill supports slots with the likes of The Sisters Of Mercy, The Horrors, White Rose Movement and Black Strobe, Ulterior are expected to make a large jump in 2009.
