Danish Daycare is the solo project by Daniel Jönsson from Malmö, Sweden, who has achieved quite a lot during his musical career besides being a solo performer. Between 2001-2005 he played keyboards for a local band called Eyedrop and after the band disbanded he started recording his own material under the Danish Daycare moniker. Shortly after Daniel joined Emerald Park as a guitarist and keyboarder but kept working on his own songs, ending up with A Story Of Hurt, a 10-track album due for an October release on the German netlabel afmusic.
The ten different songs on Danish Daycare's debut album describe the inner feelings of a 34-year-old Malmö citizen; love and betrayal, tenderness and pain, friendship and reflections upon life in general. Amongst many others, influences from The Cure, New Order, Depeche Mode, Ride and Doves - which all played an important role in Daniel's musical life time - can clearly be heard. So waste no more time and head over to Danish Daycare's MySpace for a dose of really good music.
