Me My Head

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Me My Head are a London-based four-piece that emerged out of the breakup of The Moths at the end of 2007. Named after a rather obscure Gary Numan track (kudos for that), Charlie Moss (vocals), Dave Lightfoot (guitar), James Lightfoot (Bass) and Jonny Juviler (Drums) fuse brooding post-punk doom with a Cure-esque pop foundation that echoes elements of new wave romantics.

With three singles already under their belt, the band is releasing their debut LP Survival In No Man’s Land next week. Recorded during the winter amidst the rolling hills and countryside around Halifax, it's an album filled with catchy songs of romantic yearning, bitterness, strength and regret. If you dig bands like The Killers, The Bravery, Kaiser Chiefs and Blur you should keep an eye on these lads, they might be filling big venues in no time.
