Adoration

Adoration is a shoegaze / indie band from London comprised of John Stone (vocals), Stephen Carey (guitars, programming), Lee-Anne Burgess (bass), Rob Leydon (guitar), Chris Milden (guitar), and Simon Rippin (drums ). Their sophisticated pop-noir blends dark waves of disintegration with beautiful layers of musical melody and sweeping orchestral textures, creating atmospheric soundscapes and deathlike lullabies.

This is lush yet enchanting music for the gloomy winter nights that recalls the best of the ’80s goth scene along with more than a touch of Robert Smith and Co. Admirers of The Cure, The Mission, Cocteau Twins, The Chameleons, and Puressence would be foolish to miss Sleepwalking, the band’s stunning debut album.
