Electrocute

ElectrocuteElectrocute is an electronic rock ‘n’ roll band formed by Nicole Morier and Mia Dime in 2002. Being motivated by Berlin’s explosive electropop / electroclash music scene of the early ’00s, the duo released an EP and a full-length album before Mia left the band. Morier eventually moved to Los Angeles where she met Aussie Legs Le Brock and recruited her to Electrocute. Together they bring a mix of electro dance beats, swaggering fuzzy garage-punk guitars, and what they describe as being a naughty but clever lyrical design.

On The Beat, Electrocute’s latest release, is a Junkie XL-produced EP full of highly danceable and super lovable tracks that will make fans of Le Tigre, Chicks On Speed, Peaches, Sohodolls, and CSS feel right at home. If you are looking for an upbeat set of sonic candy, you have just found it.
