Halo In Reverse is a one man project from New Jersey’s Joshua Steffen. Heavily influenced by industrial and electronic acts such as Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Rob Zombie, Underworld, and Depeche Mode, along with rock influences like The Cure, T-Rex, David Bowie, and Black Sabbath, Halo In Reverse mixes trashy guitars with depressive piano rolls and aggressive intricate electronics. Add to that Joshua’s passionate and decadent voice, and you end up with an intoxicating mixture that will have you grooving in no time.
Trials And Tribulations comes out this Friday (November 26) and it’s Halo In Reverse’s first release on Belgium’s Alfa Matrix record label. Fusing Joshua’s raging sexuality, personal demons, and powerful attitude into high-energy synthesizers and heavy guitars, this record is industrial music at its best. It’s catchy, it’s brooding, it’s heavy, it’s irresistible. A must for every self-respected fan of Trent Reznor, Marilyn Manson, or Mindless Self Indulgence. Don’t miss it.
