Maxïmo Park

Maximo ParkMaxïmo Park are an indie rock outfit from North East England. Consisting of Paul Smith (vocals), Duncan Lloyd (guitar), Archis Tiku (bass), Tom English (drums), and Lukas Wooller (keyboards), they have drawn comparisons to Northeastern counterparts The Futureheads, as well as Franz Ferdinand, Pulp, and Bloc Party for their addictive musical style and direct, edgy rock-pop sound.

The band have released two double platinum albums on the electronic label Warp Records, A Certain Trigger in 2005, which was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize, and Our Earthly Pleasures in 2007. Their third offering Quicken The Heart debuted at #6 on the UK Album Charts last month, thus proving that the boys haven’t lost their knack for writing an infectious tune. Give them a listen.
