Mighty Six Ninety is an indie / post-punk quintet from Los Angeles, CA. Named after a radio station, the band was formed in 2005 by Richard Gardner (vocals, guitar), Jeremy Castillo (guitar), Patrick Taylor (bass), Reade Pryor (drums), and Camille Driscoll (keyboards).
Echoing the sounds of many of the artists that inspired them, including New Order, The Cure, The Chameleons, and The Smiths, Gardner and Co. layer melodic synths with rippling basslines, jangly guitars, and yearning vocals. The band’s promising debut full-length Cheers To The Bitter End was released last July, featuring a bunch of fresh and catchy songs that will please fans of The Killers, Puressence, and Morrissey.
