Officer Kicks

Officer KicksIndie rockers Officer Kicks were formed in 2005 by four Londoners who have played music together since their mid teens. Combining the attitude of Kasabian and the punch of Kings of Leon, Jamie Scallion (vocals), Michael Skorjanec (bass), Keith Wickham (drums), and Jamie Fisher (guitar) somehow managed to get six grand together to make their debut album Six Grand Plot (2008). This is a record filled witch catchy, infectiously addictive tracks destined to grab your attention and give you a good time.

Now, only a year later Officer Kicks are back with new album Citywide Curfew. Once again we are talking about genuine rock that rips you by the collar and flings you across the floor. Their bounce inducing beats and irresistible riffs are perfect to listen to while getting drunk, not to mention that they will make many an Oasis fan happy. Highly recommended.

I’ve heard the new tracks – they are leagues above The Six Grand Plot. The quality of the songwriting can be heard – such a talented band.

Oasis fans will be happy, so will fans of Rolling Stones, The Who, Kings of Leon etc.

I have yet to see a live show as exciting as one of Officer Kicks’ shows.
