The Red Crayon Aristocrat Club

Hailing from Madrid, Spain, The Red Crayon Aristocrat Club is the new wave / synthpop duo of Hélène (vocals) and H. Zombie (guitar, keyboard). Their spiritual leaders – Ladytron, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Raveonettes, and Joy Division – guided them by the obtuse way of music, mixing synthpop, new wave, post-punk, and garage to tell the world stories where beautiful things are cruel, truths are lies, and everything is turned upside down.

With a debut album currently in the works, they have released three self-produced EPs so far, all of them featuring a poised blend of charging synth melodies, moody soundscapes, and girlish vocals. These EPs are distributed under a Creative Commons license by the french netlabel Zorch Factory Records and are available for free download in digital format, so you have no excuse for not checking out the Spaniards’ analog charm.
