Uni_Form

Uni_Form is an indie / post-punk band from Lisbon, Portugal. Originally formed in 2006 by siblings David (bass, vocals, synths) and Nuno Francisco (drums, programming), it wasn’t until Billy (vocals, guitar) joined the band that things started rolling. Sharing a common affection for bands like Joy Division, Interpol, Editors, The Cure, Bauhaus, and Depeche Mode, the trio released their first EP, Roll, in 2008.

Fast forward two years and the band recruits Miguel Sousa Moreira (guitar, synths), signs to Compact Records, and releases the brilliant debut album Mirrors. Filled with songs that go right into the alleys and seedy clubs of both Manchester and NYC, this record has the spooky quality of anything Paul Banks and Co. have released so far. If you are looking for dark soundscapes topped with some extra drama, Uni_Form is your thing.
