We Fell To Earth

We Fell To EarthWe Fell To Earth is the new project from Richard File (ex-UNKLE) and Wendy Rae Fowler who has worked with Mark Lanegan and Queens Of The Stone Age. The unlikely couple initially crossed paths at Rancho de la Luna Studios out in the High Desert of California while File was recording for an UNKLE album (2005) and they immediately hit it off, mainly due to their common enthusiasm for all things Krautrock. Sometime later they started recording their eponymous album which came out last week.

Featuring haunting vocals against quietly insistent guitars, this record has the shadow of UNKLE looming all over it, mainly due to its hypnotic, cinematic electronic soundscapes. It bleeds an otherworldly quality tinged with psychedelia, melancholy, and songs that float into the stratosphere, so if you want something eerie to listen to while lying on a beach and staring at the stars, you are in for a treat.
